The wet season from October to May brings heavy daily rain, so factor that in. Food is excellent and cheap; Sundanese cuisine is among Indonesia's best. The expat community is tiny — you're not moving here for a social scene with other foreigners. Weekends mean day trips to Bandung, hiking nearby volcanoes, or visiting batik villages.
