Infrastructure has been patched since July 2021, but the valley geography hasn't changed, and heavy rain still means paying attention.

You'll do well here if you want affordable, quiet regional living within striking distance of a real city, and if you find something interesting about living in a place that's visibly recovering rather than already recovered.
