This isn't a tourist town; it's a working industrial hub that transformed from fishing village to tech center in three decades. Job opportunities exist primarily in manufacturing, design, and supply-chain roles. Salaries are competitive by Taiwan standards, though lower than Taipei. Weekends mean beach trips, cycling the coastal routes, or temple visits. Zhunan suits remote workers and tech professionals seeking lower costs than Taipei, coastal access, and a quieter pace—not tourists or those needing English-language social scenes.
