With a population of just 63,035, Vaslui is a sleepy provincial town that offers little to entice foreigners. The once-thriving Jewish community has been decimated, and the city's industries under the Communist regime have long since faded. Bureaucracy is a persistent headache, as seen by the influx of dual citizens from neighboring Moldova coming to Vaslui simply to obtain identity documents. While the city has a handful of high schools and some light industry, it's hardly a bustling hub. Unless you're content with a slow-paced, provincial lifestyle in a town that time seems to have passed by, Vaslui is unlikely to satisfy most expats' desires.
