With a population of just 59,580, Tuanbao is a quiet backwater that offers little for the average expat. The town's 17 nondescript villages provide a glimpse of rural Chinese life, but the persistent bureaucratic headaches and lack of amenities make it a poor choice for those seeking an overseas adventure. Aside from the natural beauty of the surrounding area, there's little to recommend Tuanbao to foreign residents - this is a place best left to the locals.
