With a population of 126,000, Nossa Senhora de Fátima is the largest civil parish in Macau's peninsula - but the bureaucracy here is a persistent headache. Nearly half of Macau's factories are crammed into this reclaimed land, which was rapidly developed in the 1960s and 70s. While the parish has some attractions like the Canidrome and Communications Museum, the day-to-day grind of living amidst an industrial landscape may wear on you. Unless you're specifically seeking an affordable, no-frills base to access Macau's amenities, Nossa Senhora de Fátima is likely not the ideal choice.
