Nongzhang, China

With a population of just 45,270, Nongzhang is a tiny speck on the map that offers little to entice would-be expats. The Achang language spoken here is an obscure Tibeto-Burman tongue, and the bureaucracy surrounding this remote region is a persistent headache. While the area may hold linguistic interest for some, the lack of infrastructure and services means Nongzhang is best avoided by all but the most intrepid adventurers.
