With a population of just 61,881, Nandu is hardly a bustling metropolis. The bureaucracy here is a persistent headache, as the city has changed administrative hands multiple times over the centuries. While Nandu may have been an important regional capital in the past, today it is a sleepy outpost with little to attract the average expat. Unless you have a deep fascination with China's imperial history, this town is unlikely to be a compelling destination.
