Living in Huixing is a double-edged sword - the population of 186,972 may seem manageable, but the lack of women's education and persistent bureaucratic hurdles are a constant headache. Huixing was home to Qing dynasty pioneer Huixing, a passionate advocate for modern reform education, particularly for girls. However, when her school ran out of funds and was denied government support, she tragically took her own life out of despair for the lack of educational opportunities for women in China.
