800,740 residents crammed into just 1,326 square kilometers - that's the harsh reality of living in Fengrun. The district has undergone significant expansion over the past two decades, absorbing neighboring areas and swelling its population. But bureaucratic headaches are a persistent issue, with the local government repeatedly redrawing administrative boundaries and shifting town jurisdictions.

The geography is mixed, with the Yan Mountains in the north giving way to lowlands in the southwest. Elevation ranges from just 1 meter to over 600 meters, suggesting a varied climate that may not suit all. Fengrun does boast some historical attractions like the Han-era Tuyin City Ruins, but these are unlikely to be a major draw for most would-be residents.

Overall, Fengrun is a densely populated industrial hub that values efficiency over quality of life. Unless you have a specific reason to be there, such as employment at the local CRRC rail factory, this is probably not the ideal Chinese city to call home.
