Chengyang, China
This town of 66,588 people is no postcard. The Yongji Bridge, while architecturally impressive, is merely a link between two villages - hardly the stuff of grand adventure. And don't let the charming 'wind and rain' moniker fool you, the bureaucracy here is a persistent headache.
The bridge itself is a mix of stone, wood, and tile, stretching 64.4 meters with a 3.4 meter wide corridor. It's an interesting sight, sure, but not exactly a reason to relocate your whole life. Unless you're an ardent admirer of Chinese author Guo Moruo, who penned a poem about it, this Guangxi town offers little to get excited about.
Chengyang is a modest, functional place, best suited for those content with small-town routine rather than big-city thrills.
