With just under 68,000 residents, Chaihe is hardly the bustling metropolis many imagine when moving abroad. The bureaucracy can be a persistent headache, and the climate is less than ideal. While Chaihe boasts a 5A tourist rating, the on-the-ground reality is far from the glossy brochures.
